I've got a mail from someone who wanted to dump tracks recorded on a MBox to a Fostex 8 track and he thinks he needs MTC to get them synchronised.
Do any of you know how you can sync the two?
Thx for the help!

Well it depends how old the fostex is (cassette or digital???)and how much the Mbox like being a slave...If the fostex has midi then it should be fine and its better for the fostex to be the master...all he has to do is match the frames, and mtc on both units and it should work fine.

I think it's a digital.
I've never worke d with MTC. Are you sure that both machines can generate it? Can Pro Tools LE generate MTC?

The MBox doesn't have midi in out, so he'll have to work with an external Midi interface.

Don't suppose the 8 track has a cd drive does it? That would make things easy.
